How it works

LED light therapy works at a cellular level. The soothing, deep penetrating LED lights target deep into cells to stimulate your body’s natural healing process to repair and rejuvenate the skin. Using a range of visible and invisible wavelengths, specific skin cells are targeted, leading to a softening of fine lines, improved skin tone and a greater ability for the skin to maintain hydration. The skin uses this light as a source of energy to fuel the repair and rejuvenation of damaged cells, or, in the case of treating acne, kill bacteria.

Treatment

LED Light Therapy is a relaxing treatment which involves lying under a comforting warm LED Face mask for 15-30mins. There is no pain or discomfort involved and unlike Sunbeds the lights are not UV therefor are not harmful to the skin or eyes. There is no recovery or aftercare required. This can be a stand alone, regular treatment for anti-aging, rejuvenation purposes or to treat problematic skin concerns. However, it can also be added on at the end of any treatment to reduce redness and swelling, to help prevent infection and to kick start the healing process. For example, after any skin treatment such as skin needling, Epionce peels or after dermal fillers.

What types of light are there and what do they do?

Blue Light

It has powerful antibacterial properties so specifically targets acne bacteria that cause acne lesions. By removing the bacteria, this treatment reduces active acne.

Red Light

This increases natural hydration levels, reduced redness and inflammation, shrinks the appearance of pores, regulates oil production, improves circulation, accelerates skin repair as is a medically-approved treatment for rosacea.

Near Infra-red Light

This is the most deeply absorbed wavelength, it increases cell permeability and absorption, smooths lines and wrinkles, improves elasticity, reduces pain and inflammation, accelerates wound healing and heals cystic acne.
